The Division of Student Affairs Department of Information Technology is hosting a Cybersecurity Foundations Course April 9-13, 2018. Please register online as seating is limited.

The Cybersecurity Foundations course will be a five-day private, group training course. You will gain a global perspective of the challenges of designing a secure system, touching on all the cyber roles needed to provide a cohesive security solution. Through lecture, labs, and breakout discussion groups, you will learn about current threat trends across the internet and the impact on organizational security. You will review standard cybersecurity terminology and compliance requirements, examine sample exploits, and gain hands-on experience mitigating controls. In a contained lab environment, you will work with live viruses, including botnets, worms, and Trojans. For more information about the course, visit the Global Knowledge course page.

Lunch will be provided daily. After registrations are complete and paid for, an email will be sent to those attending to select your meal for each day.

Cost:

The cost is $1,500.00 per person and includes lunch each day.

Registration Details:

There is a maximum number of 16 students. The deadline to register is April 2, 2018. This course is not a certification course but is a recommended prerequisite for future Global Knowledge Cybersecurity Course certifications. Due to the limited number of available seats, this is a first come, first serve training.

All registrants must complete the registration form providing all account information and payment status no later than close of business, April 2, 2018. This includes funding source, accounting charge code, and the status of the check if paying by check. If your funding source does not begin with an “02” account number, you MUST remit payment in the form of a check made payable to:
