Using Microsoft Viva to Improve Team Productivity

Enhance your Teams Experience!

Microsoft Viva is a new in-app experience used primarily in Teams and is useful in improving team productivity. It allows you to manage communications, knowledge, learning, resources, and insights! You can add it to Teams by selecting “Apps” on the left side bar and typing in “Viva Insights.”

After installation, Viva Insights will encourage you to stay connected with contacts, send gratitude to colleagues, help schedule time to focus on assignments, and craft a personalized to-do list!

If you’re new to Texas A&M, get started by logging in to A&M’s Microsoft 365 Gateway where you have access to the web versions of all the 365 apps available through Texas A&M.

If you don’t have a lot of time, Microsoft has a series of instructional videos categorized into short courses on Microsoft Viva. Each course is usually less than 30 minutes, with each video ranging from 1 to 5 minutes. Convenient for learning on the go!

If you’re wanting to get to know Microsoft Viva in-depth, we have collected a series of video courses ranging from about 30 minutes up to 2 and half hours on each subject.

Each Course is divided into convenient Chapters and Sections. Once you have logged into LinkedIn Learning, it will remember where you left off, so you can always come back and continue at another time, and learn at your own pace!
